Sewing!!!!

Well I have borrowed my nan's friends sewing machine. I think I am getting the hang of it now. I have a bit of a fabric stash and last night started making a bag for my niece's birthday. Its not looking too bad. I had a bit of trouble fitting the snaps for the closure but I got there in the end!

The machine is a bit old and temperamental, the thread keeps snagging as on of the parts is missing but I am getting used to its quirks! Must put a machine on my Christmas list!!!!!!

The Moon

I have just been and had a quick half hour out with my scope. I am loving these early nights!!!! It is a full moon tonight so that means star gazing is a bit of a no-no as the brightness from the moon blocks a lot of them. So I was having a look at the moon itself. I took this photo through the scope by holding my compact digital up to the lens in the scope.
I like this shot. I am quite pleased with how it turned out, well for a first attempt. I have a web cam that I want to try out but maybe not when I have to get up for work tomorrow!!!

I took this picture whilst on a long weekend away for the August bank holiday. We went camping in West Wales in Barmouth. I was a great weekend and very hot. I got sun burnt feet!!! I wish I had my scope with me as we had some fantastically clear nights and we got great views of the Milky Way!!
